Welcome to the DesignTree Studio website. 

Deborah Taylor is the principal designer and owner of DesignTree Studio.  The business is located in the Alamo Square area of San Francisco. 

Deborah started working as a designer at a contract design firm during the dot-com heyday.  "Everybody had a start up business then.  We used to go to jobsites that were literally garages full of kids with skateboards who wanted an office set up immediately.  This is how I was initiated into the world of interior design and project management."

Deborah went on to work on a variety of different residential projects, specializing in kitchen and bath remodels, but also completed successful interior design projects for a casino and a church.  "I like challenges and a little bit of eccentricity in design.  The final result is all about who we are and how we want to live."  

That is good design.   

How do we begin?

My clients are my most valued asset.  I have been very lucky to work with some wonderful, fun, and interesting people. 

The first step is the most important!

Meeting with the client to discuss the project to determine the scope of the work.

Communication is the key element to a successful project.

Next stage.  Go deeper into the client's ideas to determine the basic design concept for the project, this is the foundation that I work with.  It is the beginning of the master plan.  Adjustments can be made after this and design detail added, or revised until a final plan is approved.
