DesignTree Studio

Deborah Taylor is the principal designer and owner of DesignTree Studio.  The business is located in the Alamo Square area of San Francisco.  Deborah studied design at UC Berkeley Extension's Interior Archtecture Program.  She is an Allied member of American Society of Interior Designers(ASID).

She began working as a designer at a contract design firm during the dot-com heyday.  "Everybody had a start up business then.  I used to visit jobsites that were literally garages full of kids with skateboards who wanted an office set up immediately.  This is how I was initiated into the world of interior design and project management."

Deborah went on to work on a variety of different residential projects, specializing in kitchen and bath remodels, but also completed successful interior design projects for a casino and a church.  "I like challenges and a little bit of eccentricity in design.  The final result is all about who we are and how we want to live."  

That is good design.   

My clients are my most valued asset.  I have been very lucky to work with some wonderful, fun, and interesting people.

Meeting with the client to discuss the project to determines the essence of the design concept and the scope of the work to be completed. 

Communication is the key -Everyone has their own "style" , needs and preferences.  This is the information that a designer has to able to extract from clients to be successful.  Listening and communicating clearly is essential.
